Why can results deteriorate?
It is not necessary to change your prostheses, even if you have had them for 20 years, if the aesthetic result is good and if the prostheses have not broken (monitoring is done with an ultrasound every year).
On the other hand, prostheses sometimes require re-interventions:
- Because your breasts change following weight gain, pregnancies, breastfeeding…
- Because the prostheses break or wrinkle. In case of prostheses rupture, it is necessary to change the prostheses without urgency
- Because a shell is created around the prosthesis
- Because your taste and expectations change
- Because you are not happy with the result…
The consultation
A consultation will allow us to analyze the reasons for the re-intervention and to propose adapted solutions:
- Change of prosthesis
- Removal of prostheses
- Replacement with Filling
- Raising the areolas
- Treatment of ptosis.
Modality of interventions for improved results
- The intervention lasts between 30 minutes and 1h30
- General anesthesia
- Mostly on an outpatient basis
- Dressings are necessary for about a week
- Some sports are contraindicated for about 3 weeks
Social security covers this procedure if the prosthesis was covered the first time.
